The partner you keepafter the launch.
Engineering partners are easy to hire and hard to keep. Here is why teams keep us. And, just as plainly, when they shouldn't.
Seven things youstop worrying about.
Our standard is simple: nothing without purpose, nothing untested, nothing we would not want to maintain ourselves. Every one of these follows from it.
Capacity you can plan around
We agree on the demand the business has to support, test beyond it, and document the results: throughput, response time, failure behavior, and recovery. Capacity becomes a number your team can plan against rather than a hope attached to launch day.
No hidden plans
One person owns the relationship and gives you regular, candid updates, including the uncomfortable parts. If something threatens the scope, the budget, or the deadline, you hear it from us first, while there's still time to act on it.
Commitments, not estimates
We don't bill against open-ended estimates. Discovery engineers the unknowns out up front, and what comes out is a number and a date you can hold us to. A start is a promise to finish.
Growth without operational drag
We design around the next likely changes, not only the first release. When volume grows, a market is added, or the operating model changes, the platform has clear extension points and measured capacity targets instead of another layer of workarounds.
A small, expert team
No hand-off from the people who sold it to the people who build it. The engineers who design your system are the ones who build it, ship it, and still know it years later. There is no junior bench learning on your budget.
Ownership that outlasts the org chart
Dependencies are chosen for active support; infrastructure is defined as code; everything lives in your repositories and accounts; and operating knowledge is written down. When the sponsor moves on, the reorg happens, or another team takes over, the business keeps control of the system.
Technology tied to a business case
New tools, AI included, are evaluated on your workflow and your data. We establish the cost per task, the accuracy target, and the consequence of an error before recommending a production path—and say plainly when a simpler integration or rules engine produces the better return.
The standards behindevery engagement.
Our name is a rule, and our culture follows from it: build with purpose, plan far ahead, leave nothing to chance.

Nothing without purpose
Lean architecture, no bloat. Every dependency, meeting, and line of code has to earn its place. So does every dollar of your budget.
Nothing left to chance
The assumption most likely to sink the project gets tested first, not last. Designs are challenged before anything reaches you.
Plan far ahead
We identify the next likely changes and make the expensive-to-reverse decisions with them in view, so growth adds capability instead of operational friction.
Truth, even when it costs
You hear bad news from us first: a risk, a slipped date, a cheaper way to get the result. Trust is built by being right about the hard things, not agreeable about the easy ones.
The long view
The systems we build are meant to keep running, and keep being maintained, long after the people who bought them have moved on. We build like it, and we stay on.
Amtal.
To test a thing to its breaking point and learn its true limits.
We turn that principle into agreed targets for capacity, failure behavior, recovery, and security, then verify them before launch. It is also what lets us commit to a price and a date: the expensive surprises are found while they are still ours to address.
The track recordcame before the name.
Amtal was founded on two decades of shipped systems, built for startups, for global enterprises, and for everything between.
Payments · Fintech
From startup to Inc 500 exit
PCI-compliant transaction infrastructure for high-volume merchants carried Entrust Bankcard from startup to #18 on the Inc 500, and to acquisition in 2014.
Enterprise · Salesforce
Salesforce at global scale
Twenty-plus years on the platform, with 11 certifications behind it: implementations across AMER, EMEA, and APAC for Fortune Global 500 organizations, orgs tuned past tens of millions of records, and time inside Salesforce itself.
Fintech · Scale
Millions of applications, in months
A fintech platform scaled from a standing start to millions of processed applications: a custom customer portal integrated with Salesforce, and an unbroken automated chain from customer initiation to final submission.
Healthcare · Applied AI
AI agents, held to HIPAA
AI front-office agents for healthcare practices, built on domain-tuned RAG and NLP pipelines for real-time intent classification, wrapped in a HIPAA-compliant security framework with encrypted verification and audit logging.
When we are notthe right choice.
Truth, even when it costs, starting with the sale. A few situations where you should hire someone else, said plainly so neither of us spends a quarter finding out.
You want a price before anyone has looked.
A number for a system that exists only in a conversation is either padded or wrong. We quote after Discovery, not before. If you need a figure this week, we are the wrong call.
You need hands, not an outcome.
Hourly staff augmentation is a different business, and there are good firms in it. We take on scoped problems with a result we can put in writing, and we are small by design.
One contractor could do it in a quarter.
Then hire the contractor. Custom engineering pays for itself when the workflow is your advantage and the integrations define the job. When it is not, we will tell you.
You want a partner who says yes.
We will tell you when the scope is wrong, when custom isn't the answer, and when the deadline isn't real. Some teams would rather not hear it. That is a fair choice, just not one we can build around.
Tell us whatneeds to work better.
A workflow consuming staff time, a CRM nobody trusts, a platform slowing growth, or an AI initiative that needs a business case. Your free consultation is a working session: we identify the operating outcome, the biggest risk, and the right first milestone.
